MealStack release notes

Release 0.9.1, build 90

Shipped as build 90 7 changes, grouped by where you'll notice them.

What changed

Your day follows your training.

This build makes the day bend when your training moves, and makes logging food fast.

Change today’s session time in one tap. Tap the session line in your day and pick the new time. You see the whole day re-flow around it, with the pre-workout meal and shake moving too, before you save. It changes today only; your usual time stays. Meals you’ve already logged never move. Start a workout in IronStack at a different time and MealStack moves the day for you, says so, and offers Undo. No other nutrition app knows when you train.

Scan a barcode. In the food picker, tap Barcode and point the camera at the package, or type the numbers. MealStack asks before it looks anything up the first time, and the card says where the numbers came from: USDA, Open Food Facts or your own foods. Nothing is saved until you tap Add, and Edit lets you fix a value first. In our tests it found 33 of 35 real products.

Search knows everyday foods. USDA’s database is on your phone, under common names too.

Try this: scan five things from your pantry. Tell us any product it missed or got wrong, with the name on the package. That list is how we make it better.

Every change in this build

Today

  • Change today’s session time in one tap: tap the session line in your day, see the whole day at the new time before you save, then Save for today. Usual time puts it back, and No session today makes it a recovery day. Meals you’ve already logged never move.
  • Tapping the widget or the Live Activity on a training day, before the session, opens the same sheet.
  • Start a workout in IronStack at a different time and MealStack moves today’s session to it, says “Session moved to 12:10 PM from IronStack.” and offers Undo. A move you plan in IronStack still asks first.

Foods

  • Search finds everyday foods from the USDA’s database on your phone, under their common names too. About credits the source.
  • Barcodes: in the food picker, tap Barcode to scan a package with the camera, or type the numbers under the barcode. The first time, MealStack asks before it looks anything up. The card says where the numbers came from (USDA, Open Food Facts or your own food), and nothing is saved until you tap Add. Edit lets you fix a value first.
  • A number that isn’t a product code says so, and never guesses a food.

Stack AI

  • When you’ve reached today’s Stack AI limit, MealStack says so before sending, instead of after a wait.
