IronStack release notes

Release 0.1.1, build 74

Shipped as build 74 13 changes, grouped by where you'll notice them.

What changed

Less math between sets.

This build takes over the arithmetic you used to do in your head between sets.

Warm-ups built for your bar and your plates. Any lift with a working weight now has a Build prep line. Tap it and IronStack lays out the warm-up sets up to your first working set, with the plates for each side. Nothing is added until you tap Add. Change your top set and Rebuild prep redoes the warm-ups still to come. No more counting plates with the bar on your back.

Plates on your wrist. Turn the Crown on the watch and it shows the plates for each side. They come from the plates you own (Settings › My plates), not a standard gym’s. If your plates can’t make a weight, it shows the nearest weight they can. You don’t need the phone for this.

Stack AI knows your whole training history. Before, it saw your last 90 days. Now your phone sends it a summary of every lift you’ve logged: how often you do it, when, and your bests. Your notes never go in. Stack AI asks for your yes again before it starts, because what you’re sharing has changed, and we think that’s the right way to do it.

Also in this build

  • Supersets and circuits look the same everywhere, grouped under one name. The A1 and A2 tags are gone.
  • You can reorder today’s Up next. Your saved workout keeps its own order.
  • Each exercise page says how often you’ve done it, e.g. “Done 14 times since March.”
  • The full exercise library opens from Plan and from Build from muscles.
  • Small fixes: drill sets have no RPE row, Shuttle Run opens on time, Names to check has Undo, and the Edit headers no longer let rows show through.
  • The gear list is trimmed to gear everyone uses. Anything you’d used is kept in Your gear.

Try this: next time you’re at the rack, tap Build prep on your first lift and tell us whether the jumps feel right.

Every change in this build

Today

  • In Edit, the exercises still under Up next can be dragged into a new order, the way the ones on the day can. The new order is for today; the saved workout keeps its own.
  • In Edit, the “On the day” and “Up next” headers no longer let a row show through them as you scroll.
  • A lift with a working weight and no prep sets yet has a Build prep line on its card. It shows the prep sets that build up to your first working set, with the plates on each side, and adds nothing until you tap Add. If you change the top set afterwards, it says Rebuild prep, which replaces the prep sets still to come.
  • A superset or circuit looks the same everywhere: in Edit, Plan, History and Stack AI’s cards its exercises sit together under one line that names it, joined by a line down their side. The A1 and A2 tags are gone.
  • On a make-or-miss drill like free throws, the set sheet has no RPE row, as on the watch.

Stack AI

  • Stack AI now sees a summary of your whole log, not just the last 90 days. Your phone works out, for each lift, how often and when you’ve done it and your bests, and sends that with your question. No notes go in it. The next time you use Stack AI, it asks for your yes again, with that line added.
  • After a break, the 90 days count back from your last workout instead of from today.

Exercises

  • An exercise’s page says how often you’ve done it, like “Done 14 times since March”.
  • The + on a workout’s page and Build from muscles open the full exercise library, with its sections and Sections panel, instead of the old short list.
  • Shuttle Run opens on time, in seconds, as its note says.
  • On Names to check, Hide and Show say what they did, with Undo: “qwyjibo” is off the list, or back on it.

Apple Watch

  • Turning the Crown on the weight shows the plates for each side, worked out on the watch from the plates you own (Settings, My plates). A weight your plates can’t make shows the nearest one they can.

Gear

  • The gear list is shorter: some pieces that belonged to one gym, not everyone’s, are gone. Any of them you’d used are now in Your gear, with their brand, and your past sets still show them.
