IronStack and MealStack

How to reach a person, report a bug, take your data with you, or make it go away.
One person builds these apps, and the same person answers. Email is the fastest way to reach me.

How fast you’ll hear back
| What | When |
|---|---|
| A bug, a question, an idea | Usually within two business days |
| A report about someone on IronStack Social (harassment, a handle, a card) | Looked at within 24 hours, usually sooner |
| A privacy request (what’s held, a copy, delete it) | Confirmed within 10 days, done within 30 (the same promise as the privacy pages) |
| Something that puts someone at risk | Say so in the subject line. It goes first. |
If you think you’re in danger, or someone else is, call your local emergency number first.
Reporting a bug
Put the app’s name in the subject: IronStack bug or MealStack bug. Then include:
- What you did. The taps, in order. “Opened Today, tapped Comp Squat, logged 3 × 5 at 315, tapped Done.”
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- The version and build. It’s in Settings in both apps. For example, “0.1.1 (50)”.
- Your iPhone model and iOS version. Settings › General › About.
- A screenshot or screen recording. They almost always help. Control Center › Screen Recording.
- Whether it happens every time, or only once.
Please don’t send your whole training log or meal plan unless asked. If a file is needed, you’ll be asked for the smallest piece that shows the problem.
On TestFlight
The fastest route in a beta build is TestFlight’s own feedback: take a screenshot, tap Share Beta Feedback, and add a line. It arrives with the build number and device already attached. If the app crashes, TestFlight asks whether to send the crash. Please say yes.
Every beta build’s changes are on the release notes page: IronStack · MealStack.
TestFlight builds are unfinished. Export your data now and then while you test.
Your data
Take it with you
- IronStack: Settings › Your data › Export all my data writes every session, your plan and your own exercises into one file in the Mission Built Schema, a documented format. Export the raw log gives you the log line for line.
- MealStack: plans and stacks go out as
.mealstackfiles, in a documented format, and come back in the same way. History doesn’t export yet.
Save the file to Files, iCloud Drive or your computer. You can bring it back into the app on a new phone.
See what the server holds
- IronStack: Settings › Your data › What the server holds
- MealStack: Settings › Your data › What the server holds
Both ask the server live and show you the answer.
Delete it
- Everything, everywhere. IronStack: Settings › Your data › Delete all IronStack data. MealStack: Settings › Start over › Delete all MealStack data. Each deletes the server’s copy first, then everything on the phone, and tells you what it removed.
- Only your IronStack Social account. Social › your account › Delete Social account. This deletes your handle, spotters, shared cards and props, and disconnects Sign in with Apple. Your training log stays.
- Workouts and meals in Apple Health. MealStack removes the entries it wrote when you delete all its data. IronStack’s workouts stay in Health. Delete them in the Health app: Browse › Activity › Workouts › Show All Data.
- Already deleted the app? Nothing on the server can be matched to you any more. If you had an IronStack Social account, or want to ask anyway, email [email protected] with the subject Data request and, for Social, your handle.
The full detail is on each privacy page: IronStack · MealStack.
IronStack Social: reporting and blocking
- Report a handle, a card title or a person in Social. Nobody is told who reported them.
- Block a person the same way. They stop seeing your cards and you stop seeing theirs.
- Email [email protected] with the handle if something needs a person now, or if you think a decision about your own account was wrong.
The rules are in section 9 of the IronStack Terms.
Purchases and subscriptions
Nothing is for sale during the beta. When something is, purchases go through Apple. To cancel a subscription: Settings › your name › Subscriptions. To ask for a refund: reportaproblem.apple.com. To get a purchase back on a new phone: Restore Purchases in the app.
Coach
Coach is an AI (Claude, by Anthropic). It can be wrong. If an answer looks off, email a screenshot of it. Coach runs on a monthly allowance per device. When it’s used up, the app says when it resets.
Coach isn’t medical advice. For pain, injury, illness, pregnancy or a medical diet, ask a qualified professional.
The beta sign-up form
The Join the beta form on each app page keeps your email address, the note you add, which app page you signed up from, your country (from the network, not your address), when you signed up and whether you’ve been invited. It’s kept in Mission Built’s storage on Cloudflare and used for one thing: sending your TestFlight invite. It’s never shared or used for marketing. Email [email protected] and it’s deleted.
