Base
The fields at the root of every MealStack document.
The base field set holds the fields that sit at the root of every document, with no namespace, the way ECS keeps @timestamp, labels and tags at the root. Every other field set is namespaced under its own name.
These fields sit at the root of the document, with no prefix.
Fields

The moment the document describes, as an RFC 3339 date-time with offset. For a day record it is the day's start in the day's zone; for an event it is when the event happened; for a plan file it is when the file was written. Required on records and events; a plan file that omits it is read as "now".

Custom key/value pairs that travel with the document and mean nothing to the app. Keys are lower case with underscores; values are strings. For anything the schema does not name: a coach's client id, a spreadsheet row, a note to self.
